So how long does it actually takes to produce a rendering image?

Once you’ve finish your project in sketchup, which by the way is the most important part in terms of measurements and fundamental to get it right, you upload your model to lumion. It’s here the real fun begins and why you ask? Because modeling in lumion is like you are in a game environment, you see the plants, textures, colours, wind in real time, straight away you start having a feel of how the garden will look like. How the textures play along each other and really important, the scale of the plants you thinking in using can be straight away tested against the other elements of the project.

So the actual render time of the images you choose, diferent angles, lighting, time of day etc. depends a lot of your pc, so I have an ok pc nothing very extraordinary, by the way for this program you need to have a pc like gamers do (I will go into detail later about specific information in this area), using a lot of effects in my images I can produce 2 sets of 10 images each in about 16/20 minutes. So think about once the model is complete is less than a minute per image,it’s amazing!!

Imagine how much work can you produce instead of doing illustration by hand or spending hours in photoshop.

💡TIP OF THE DAY: Don’t buy a already made pc, you better building your own or, like I did, go to your local guy (someone that fixes pc’s..😊🖥️) and tell him exactly what you need the pc for and he will build you one specific for what you require.
