When talking about rendering images for your project it’s really important to create context and to accessorize. Context as to do with the architectural elements that exist or that are going to be built in the garden. These elements are going to influence your project and at the same time, they give a sense of scale to your client when he sees your images.
At the same time, it’s really important to complement your project with some accessories but, make them real.

Use only elements that exist in the market you work, do not suggest something that the client is going to love but then you have to say “..sorry but that was only in the rendering..”. And this goes more importantly to the furniture elements, big outdoor furniture brands have their furniture available in 3d on their website so you can easily download and use it in your projects if not, and if it’s something essential for the garden concept, contact them asking if they can provide the file to you.

The 3d Warehouse from Sketchup it’s an amazing place that you should explore. There are brands that have their own Sketchup page inside de Warehouse but there a lot of designers that have their collections of models (don’t forget to credit the authors of the elements you use). In the video, I show an example of a lounger from Gloster from the collection Grid that’s available for download. But if the furniture you are using doesn’t actually exist in the 3d Warehouse or the brand is not big enough to have their model available in 3d for designers, use something very similar to the one that you are going to suggest to your client and that goes with the concept of the garden, making sure you explain that to your client.
💡TIP OF THE DAY: If you have a really important project where furniture it’s very important, the quality of materials etc. check out the website Design Connected. They always have some freebies but the majority of the 3d models are paid.
